Lots of fun happening as we begin to delve into 3D artworks. We'll really start getting our hands dirty after Spring break, but those that have finished their collages are starting to experiment with 3D construction, forming with clay, and using a virtual pottery wheel on our new iPads!

Printing with Andy

One of my favorite media we work with each year is printmaking. I like to use Andy Warhol's work for reference because his work is very accessible, recognizable, colorful and the kids have usually seen something that was influenced by his work whether they realize it or not.
Each grade level does something a little different with their prints. Two things we have done that were brand new for me to try with the kids are mono printing and two-color block prints. I've been excited with the results so far.
